Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s. is an administrator of the Prague water management property. PVS is responsible for keeping the water supply and sewerage system in a serviceable condition, its renovation and development.
It ensures a complex development of this infrastructure for owners of the water management infrastructure together with investment projects involving reconstructions of main pipelines and the sewerage system and activities connected with supplying the capital city with potable water as well as draining and treating the wastewater.
It purchases water for the capital city from Želivská provozní s.r.o. and Vodárna Káraný, a.s. and operates a part of the water management system.
Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s. also comments on all investment projects and documentations involving the area management and building control that affect construction of public water supply and sewerage systems.
Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s. looks after the water management property based on a Contract On Lease And Administration Of Objects Owned By The Capital City of Prague in connection with provision of waterworks services, drainage and treatment of wastewater and related services between the City of Prague and Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s., which is valid until 31st December 2028.
Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s. has signed contracts with PVK and Framaka s.r.o. on operation of most of the water management property in its administration.
Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s. and Pražské vodovody a kanalizace, a.s. were established by the State Property Fund in December 1997 within privatisation of Pražské vodárny and Pražská kanalizace a vodní toky.
