Pražská vodohospodářská společnost a.s. (PVS) was established by the State Property Fund on 1 April 1998 within the privatisation of the state enterprises Pražské vodárny and Pražská kanalizace a vodní toky. The company is seated in Žatecká St., the Old Town, Prague, and is 100% owned by the Capital City of Prague. Pursuant to Section 79 of Act No. 90/2012 Coll., PVS is a part of the group as a controlled entity and the City of Prague is the controlling entity.
PVS is responsible for administration of the water management property owned by the Capital City of Prague and the purchase of water from Želivská provozní s.r.o. and Vodárna Káraný, a.s. PVS is also an administrator for the reconstruction and extension of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (ÚČOV) on Císařský ostrov.
